Paul Dudley (UK)
Mr Dudley is a director and former chairman of the UK Public Risk Association. He gained extensive public sector risk management experience at Hertfordshire County Council and the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and has headed up enterprise risk management, health and safety, business continuity management and insurance strategies and processes for over 20 years.
Mr Dudley is a director of Alarm (the public service risk management association) and company secretary, and chaired the association in 2009-10.
He was recognised for his contribution to public sector risk management, and to Alarm as an organisation, becoming an honorary lifetime member in 2012.

Mrs Dorothy M. Gjerdrum
As senior managing director of Gallagher Public Sector, Ms Gjerdrum leads 300 Gallagher insurance brokers and specialists dedicated to public sector clients across the US, focusing on issues of risk management, exposure identification, pool operations and enterprise risk management.
In addition to leading the broker group, she provides consulting and risk management services to select Gallagher public sector and higher education clients.

Omawumi Kola-Lawal (Nig)
Omawumi Kola-Lawal has worked, for the past 20 years, with organisations and on projects in the natural resources, power, telecommunications, manufacturing and financial services sectors, to identify, assess and reduce environmental, social, health, safety and security risks.
During this period, she has held various roles in management and specialist consulting, private equity and project finance.
She holds Masters and Doctoral degrees in environmental technology and management and has particular interest in environmental policy, management systems development, climate financing and developmental impact measurement/reporting.

Professor Peter Young
Professor Young holds the 3M endowed chair in international business at the Opus College of Business, University of St Thomas, and held the EW Blanch senior chair in risk management at the same establishment from 1994 to 2011.
He was co-creator of the University’s actuarial science programme, which in 2011 received recognition as a Centre for Actuarial Excellence, and serves as its principal adviser.
Professor Young has written extensively on the subject of risk management, and is recognised internationally for his work in both the public and private sectors.

Mr Ferrarese is senior strategic risk manager at LEGO Group, where he has worked as a strategist since 2007. He held a series of key account management positions at LEGO Group Company, Modulex, and previously served as an officer in The Royal Danish Army for 13 years.
Mr Ferrarese has extensive international experience implementing global projects. Mr Ferrarese holds an MSc in strategic planning and an MBA from Heriot-Watt University, Scotland.

Bamidele Wale-Oshinowo PhD (Nig)
Bamidele Wale-Oshinowo is a Management Specialist with interest in Micro, Small and Medium-scale Enterprises (MSMEs) and Family Businesses; a certified professional trainer; certified lecturer for Enterprise Systems Education for Africa (ESEFA) in SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (SAP-ERP); and certified Entrepreneurship Educator.
She obtained her PhD in Management from Royal Holloway, University of London and currently, holds a faculty position in the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Lagos.
Her broad expertise remit is in the areas of entrepreneurship and strategic management. Her core research areas include firm culture, strategic orientations and performance indices of micro-small-to-medium scale enterprises (MSMEs) and family businesses in developing economies. These areas also form part of her consultancies to organisations and corporations.
She has published in the fields of management, entrepreneurship and family business in both national and international academic journals; and has also attended and delivered papers and lectures at academic and non-academic conferences in the Europe and Nigeria.
She is actively involved in mentoring and supporting small and large businesses for growth, and succession pathways for sustainability and longevity of businesses across generations. She is a member of several professional organisations; engage in community projects and programmes that address youth and women empowerment.

Maren Egedorf is Associate Professor at Metropolitan University College’s Emergency and Risk Management Program in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Maren has 20 years of experience in international program management and communication. She has extensive international experience, having worked and lived abroad for more than 10 years.
Maren currently lives in Denmark, where she is originally from. Her professional experience spans academia, the United Nations’ World Food Programme, the Famine Early Warning Systems Network, the private sector, as well as consulting with international development companies, Danish Non-Government Organisations and the United Nations.
Maren has extensive experience in disaster risk reduction, public sector risk management, food and nutrition security analysis, early warning systems, and evaluation. Maren’s current research interests include social sustainability, social risk leadership. Additionally, she has extensive experience in cross-cultural team building and leadership, successful negotiation techniques, and risk education enhancement

Soji Apampa (Nig)
Mr Soji Apampa is co-founder of The Integrity Organisation Ltd. Gte (1995). He has been actively involved with the designing, resourcing and supervising of programme implementation that has helped to make the policy of “empowering people, their transactions, systems and institutions against corruption” relevant to Nigeria.
At Integrity, he was one of the initiators of the Convention on Business Integrity (CBI), a project launched in Lagos in 1997 to foster ethical business practices, openness, and fair competition in both the private and the public sectors.
Mr Apampa is the Project director on the supported MacArthur project Promoting Corruption Prevention in the Private Sector (2018-2021) a Department for international development (DFID) supported project Strengthening Citizens Resistance Against the Prevalence of Corruption (SCRAP-C)to cover interventions that seek to promote Integrity, honesty and transparency in the private sector.
His work experience covers training, research, consulting and management in the private and public sectors and civil society.

Mr John Thirlwell, FCIB (UK)
Mr John Thirlwell FCIB (UK), is an internationally renowned speaker and writer on operational risk, risk management and governance. With over 30 years’ experience in financial services, he has represented several banking and insurance companies at board level as an executive or non-executive director.
He was a director of the British Bankers’ Association (BBA), helping to negotiate the current operational risk regulatory framework for banks, and founded and chaired the BBA’s Global Operational Loss Database.
Mr Thirlwell has chaired the UK Financial Services and Insurance Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce and has contributed to advisory groups on risk and operational risk for the Bank of England, the Financial Services Authority, the Financial Services Skills Council, the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment and the Lloyd’s Market Association.
He graduated from the University of Oxford and is a Fellow of the Institute of Operational Risk and the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

Susan Oranye (Nig)
Ms. Susan Oranye is the Executive Secretary of the Pension Fund Operators Association of Nigeria (PenOp). A First Class graduate with a Master’s degree in International Management from the University of Sunderland (UK) and a Bachelor’s degree in Insurance and Risk Management from Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT).
She is also a certified Project Manager with certifications in Business Analysis, Leadership and Strategy from the Lagos Business School.
She has over 18 years of experience in Administration, Policy and Strategy formulation, Project Management, Business Analysis and Stakeholder Management in the financial sector.
Ms Oranye’s career began in the banking sector in 2001 and spans over a decade of her handling a plethora of diverse roles ranging from Credit officer to Senior Banking Officer in the Public Sector Group of Spring Bank Plc. She went on to work with the Lloyds Banking Group (UK) and Brewin Dolphin (UK).
Her drive for continuous improvement, strategy and Stakeholder management have aided in the Pension Operators Association becoming an influential player in the financial sector.
An outgoing and effective communicator, Ms Oranye is a natural problem solver and has the ability to identify risks and proffer solutions that not only meet business needs but improves processes to ensure exposure to risk is kept at a bare minimum whilst maintaining high levels of service delivery.

Kate Boothroyd, FIRM (UK)
Ms Boothroyd is a risk management consultant with particular expertise in project and corporate risk management, training and development, and internal audit.
She has worked for major clients in the public and private sector in several countries and across industries including oil and gas, mining, utilities, energy, construction, civil engineering, nuclear, housing, education, rail and pharmachem.
Ms Boothroyd has been an active member of the Institute of Risk Management (IRM) since 1992, serving as a director from 1999-2003 and deputy chairman the following year.
She is one of the presenters of the IRM’s ‘Fundamentals of Risk Management’ course, and chair of its North West England Regional Group. Ms Boothroyd authored the ‘Risk Management in Architecture, Engineering & Construction’ specialist module of the IRM International Diploma in Risk Management, for which she is an examiner, and is the new author of the core Risk Assessment module.

Oby Ugboma is Chief Risk Officer and a Managing Director of Chapel Hill Denham, a leading Africa focused Investment bank, where she has led a team of risk management, regulatory & compliance and audit professionals since 2011 in the implementation of the Firm’s ERM programme.
She has over 20 years of financial services experience in Nigeria and the UK where most recently she was the Head of Operational risk and an Executive Director at J.P. Morgan Worldwide securities services.
Oby is a Director of Chapel Hill Denham Securities and chairs its Risk committee. She is also a Non-Executive Director of NASD plc and the deputy chair of its Audit and Risk committee.
Oby holds a BSc (Hons) in Biotechnology from Imperial College London and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. She is an Associate Member of the London Institute for Banking & Finance and the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers.

Mr Clark is the current Chair of the Institute of Operational Risk, a professional body with global membership, and was one of the founding members in 2004. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Operational Risk and the Chartered Institute of Bankers and is a Chartered Banker.
He has over 40 years experience in the financial services sector leading both business and risk functions at senior leadership level. Previous experience also includes membership of; the Council for the UK Payments body, APACs, the APAC’s Credit Card Committee, the British Bankers Association Gold Operational Risk Loss Database and as a previous Non Executive Director for VOCA and Mastercard UK.
As an independent consultant since 2007 he has advised some of the industry’s leading financial services firms on risk and compliance issues in Australia, New Zealand, Africa, the Netherlands and the UK. Mr Clark holds a Masters Degree in Risk Management.

Mr. Abayomi Oluremi-Judah has been Chief Risk Officer of Continental Reinsurance Plc since March 1, 2016. Mr. Oluremi-Judah served as Head of Life Operations at Continental Reinsurance Plc since September 2014 until March 1, 2016 and is based at its head office in Lagos.
Mr. Oluremi-Judah trained and worked as an actuary in the UK and Europe over the past 13 years. He has extensive insurance and reinsurance experience.

Mrs Ibiene Okeleke holds an Advanced Human Resources Executive Degree from the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, a Master Degree from IESE Business School, University of Navarra Spain and obtained a Bachelors’ degree in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from the University of Lagos.
She has also completed a Strategic Human Resource Training course at Harvard Business School and she is a certified Prince 2 Practitioner.
Ibiene has over 20 years’ on-the-job experience, she is a Career Coach and she is passionate about people development, continuous learning Youth Empowerment and Career Development Programs, she encourages and inspires higher productivity in the workplace.
Prior to her appointment as the Managing Director of Energy Training Center the Learning Academy of the Sahara Group focusing on the Power Oil & Gas sectors, Mrs Ibiene Okeleke was the Chief Human Resources and Administrative Officer of Ikeja Electric, a role she took over after the privatization of the power sector, prior to that she was the Group Head of Human Resources at the Sahara Group.

Yvonne Palm is the Director of Risk Management, Compliance and Actuarial Services for African Reinsurance Corporation, overseeing all group activities within these areas.
Prior to joining Africa Re, she served as the Lead Corporate Actuary at Travelers Syndicate in London, managing reserving, technical provisions, business planning and reporting of results to regulators and management.
She has worked in various reputable international organisations including Ernst & Young in the USA, serving as the lead actuarial analyst for multinational clients, (re)insurers and captives. She also held senior actuarial positions at Markel International and ACE European Group. Her experience spans the USA, Europe and Latin America, as well as exposure to African, Middle Eastern and Australasian business through the Lloyd’s platform.
Yvonne is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Grinnell College, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa with Honours in both Mathematics and Economics.
